December and January Happenings

2010 Mass Art Holiday Sale is scheduled for December 6-11th. This is when the lobby of the tower building is turned into a remarkable gift shop for all your holiday shopping needs with work made by students and alumni. I will once again be showing brand spanking new "Mini Masterpieces" (tiny cute watercolors) and a few hand painted, sculpted, concrete rhubarb leaves. "WHAT!?" you may say? Just go see for yourself.
WARNING! It is very hard to enter the Mass Art Holiday Sale and not buy things.

If you have not seen my current Lady Legs show up at Christopher's Restaurant in person, you have until December 14th to do so.
January 19th my work will be going up at the Cambridge Common just a hop skip and a jump down Mass. Ave. from Christopher's. Will be having a big shebang opening night, and some new work to boot.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope to see you at the Monson Craft Fair the weekend after turkey day if you are in the western Mass area. This year along with minis, cards and leaves I will be bringing a few large, affordable, high quality prints!

What's up Lady Legs

Thank you to everyone who made it out to my art show at Christopher's. It was a huge success and I got so much positive feed back on the new work. It seemed like everyone had about four favorites, and rumor is a bidding war has started.

Also a thank you to Abbey for organizing the show, the servers, bartenders and managers for making it a super easy, special night for all the guests. I am excited to see what happens in the next six weeks.

November has come

Art Opening at Christopher's Restaurant
1920 Mass. Ave, Cambridge, MA. New series entitled "Lady Legs." The opening show and reception will be on Tuesday, November 2 from 9:30 pm to 12 am. A special cocktail menu will be available with Karlson's Vodka.

33rd Annual Waltham Open Studios
November 7-8 Saturday 12-6. Sunday 12-5.
I will be at 144 Moody St. showing my artwork. This will include greeting cards, affordable large framed prints, original artwork and mini masterpieces. Added bonus of the Nick Palm Comedy Extravaganza!!! All day comedy. ha ha, hee hee.

30th Annual Holiday Craft Fair
November 27-28. Saturday 9-4:30. Sunday 12-4:30.
Two full days of every crafty thing you could dream of. From candy to honey, santa figurines to applique pumpkin pins. And for the second year in a row- hand made concrete rubarb leaf birdbath/bowls. They make great presents and centerpieces. They remind me of a fossilized leaf from the Jurassic Period.

Upcoming shows

I have been accepted into Somerville Open Studios this year, which is May 1 & 2 and will be in my apartment. Maps will be available with over 200 locations to visit, but come see me first.
I am also applying for Somerville Art Beat that takes place in July in Davis Square. Planning on displaying lots of new concrete birdbaths and Mini-Masterpieces.
The Mass Art Spring Show this year is May 3-8th. I plan on submitting minis that have been a big hit, and some concrete leaves.
Looking into applying for South End open studios, but they do not have extra available space like last year, so I will either show at Around the Corner or find an artist's studio to share. Know anyone?
