Big Mac Success

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! My show in Monson went fantastically well. Before all the leaves died I made a double batch of concrete leaf birdbaths. The concrete picks up every vein and curve of a rubarb leaf, looking like a fossil. I sold 14 of them! I also have many new mini masterpieces, sold about 7 of them. Next Sunday I will be in Springfield at 22 Chestnut St Apartments holiday show. Also in Boston they are throwing a Down Town Crossing art fair all month and I may be there Wed, Dec. 9th. Waiting to hear back from the director. Happy Holidays!

Everything New and Coming

So much has been going on. Waltham Open Studio's went super awesome. I took over Nick Palm's room with girls, giraffe, flirty bird, Celtics and art books. Sold a copy (repainted version, not a print) of "Starry Night" and "The Bedroom." The couple that bought the bedroom also requested a copy of Lady Legs. Nick owns the origional and she made an appearance in NYC painting. I went not expecting to sell anything and I made 3 sales and sold 10 cards! When you keep your expectations low, you come out happily suprised.

For all you Western Massers who know what Big Mac is, the weekend after Thanksgiving when old town hall and churches on Main St. Monson overflow with crafts galore... You guessed it, I will be there. I made a double batch of concrete leaf bird baths. At 4th of July they sold like hot cakes, so get 'em while their hot. Here for a limited time since it's winter...and I can't make more till spring. Show is Sat 28th 9-4:30, Sun 29th 12-4:30.

December 6th I will be in Springfield where The Mattoon Association is joining with fellow Downtown residents at Kimball Tower Condos and 122 Chestnut Apartments to sponsor a holiday event on December 6 from noon to 4:00 PM. It will feature open houses of seasonally decorated homes, holiday refreshments and music, and craft vendors.

In Boston shows, I was accepted into Mass Art's Holiday Sale for students and alumni. I did it this past spring with "Mini Masterpieces" and will be back with more of them. Mini's are roughly 3"x2 1/2" watercolors of funny little scenes of people, food and Boston for $25. The sale will run from December 13-20th in the Lobby of Mass Art Tower building, cram packed full of fun art presents just in time for the Holidays.

This is a 4'x3' oil painting on canvas of the Celtic's Garden with pyrotechnics and K.G. on the jumbotron. Everything is lit up green as everyone watches the half time show in awe. This was commissioned by my friend Pete who arranges the videos and music for the games. He is going to hang it in his office at Celtics head quarters!
